What do you think makes an argument persuasive — that it's true, or that it's well-told?
Both? But… maybe well-told first, so people listen?

Interesting. Let's try this: pick a position you don't agree with, and argue it well. We'll see if your view shifts.
Skill in motion: steel-manning the other side. Building reasoning + epistemic humility.

How AI changes the game

Your child, partnered with AI —never replaced by it.

Most ed-tech bolts AI on top of worksheets. We built the journey the other way around: AI is the connective tissue between your child, their mentor, and the moments that change how they think.

Personalized

Adaptive, not algorithmic.

An AI mentor that adjusts pace, depth, and challenge to how your child thinks — not how the average child thinks.

Dialogue-first

Socratic, not lecture-y.

Conversations that ask before they answer. Your child learns to argue, defend, and change their mind — the muscle AI itself can't replace.

Insight loop

Reflection, not retention.

Every session ends with a guided reflection synthesized by AI — what shifted, what's still fuzzy, what they'd defend tomorrow.

Hands-on

A co-pilot for projects.

When kids build something real — an essay, an experiment, a debate prep — AI is on the desk beside them, not in their place.

Weekly digest

Parent insights that mean something.

Friday summaries written by AI, reviewed by mentors. Not metrics. Moments: what they got curious about, what they wrestled with.

Trust by design

Safe, transparent, audited.

Conversations are logged for parents, content is age-appropriate, and every model decision is explainable. No black boxes around your child.

“AI won't replace your kid. It'll partner with them.

Three promises

Skip the noise.

Here's what every founding family gets, week one.

01

Thinking, not just knowing.

We don't replace school — we build the muscle school doesn't have time for: reasoning, asking better questions, defending an idea, changing your mind.

02

AI as a tool, not a crutch.

Your child learns to use AI the way a craftsman uses a power tool — confidently, ethically, and with judgment about when not to use it.

03

Rooted, not lost.

Stories, ethics, and conversations from your tradition — woven into modern challenges. Not Sunday-school preachy. Built so kids actually engage.

A week with Gurukul

20 minutes a day. A different child in 12 weeks.

Mon–Thu

20-minute AI mentor session

Adaptive Socratic conversations. The mentor never gives the answer — it walks your child to it.

Wednesday

Weekly small-group cohort

60 minutes with 5–8 other kids working on a real project: build something, debate something, defend an idea.

Friday

Parent summary, in your inbox

Not metrics — moments. What shifted in their thinking, what they got curious about, what to talk about over dinner.

Anytime

A mentor on call

For the weeks where your child needs someone other than you to listen — a 1:1 human who's been trained to coach, not lecture.

What 12 weeks unlocks

Not better grades. A different child.

“We're not building tutoring software. We're building the journey we wish we'd had.

From the founder

Why we're building this.

I grew up between two worlds — the values my parents taught me at the dinner table, and the school system that taught me to optimize for grades. By the time I figured out what mattered, I was 30.

I have a child now. The world they're growing up in moves faster than the one I grew up in. AI will do most of what I learned in school. What won't change is the value of clear thinking, of character, of being rooted enough to know what you stand for.

I built Gurukul because I couldn't find what I wanted for my own child — and every parent I talked to said the same thing.
